A Loving God?

August 15, 2010 Leave a comment

It is a question that has been asked by men and women time after time in this generation. Unbelievers and God-fearing Christians alike have puzzled over this question, yet in different ways. As Christians, we believe in the infallibility of the word of God. When God’s word says that God is Love,(1 John 4:16), Christians tend to look at that passage, then look at the world and what they see happening all around them and think that there is some contradiction. The unbeliever looks at the suffering on this earth and uses this to claim that “There is No God.” They think, “These weird Christians claim that their god is a god of love. How could a loving god allow suffering, and sin for that matter, in this world that he supposedly created?” I wish to look at these statements with you and address them (in multiple blog posts, of course). We will look at the supposed contradiction of a loving God and a suffering world; we will see that the very fact that unbelievers acknowledge sin and suffering is proof of the existence of God; and we may even dive into some of the shocking accounts of the Old Testament “God of Wrath” and his most appalling displays of wrath located in the Old New Testament. Once again, thanks for visiting my blog and be looking out for the start of my posts in a day or two.  James 4:13-15

Hi There!

Thanks for visiting my blog! I hope that you will find it encouraging and that you will visit again. I have started my blog for many different reasons and I would like to share some of them with you. My first goal with this blog is to Glorify my God in all that I do. I am an unworthy sinner saved by grace and the least that I can do is to try to give Him the glory that he deserves. The second goal that I have is to encourage the body of Christ, especially young men and women, as best I can. I believe that we as a “generation” have a great potential that is being wasted on video games, raunchy TV shows, unwholesome, sensual music and all of the other things that this world wants to offer us. It is time that we as Christian young men and women (for we should expect nothing more of the world) did something about it. I also hope to include posts about what I am reading, watching etc. My third goal? I am an aspiring IT Geek and I have started working with computers. I would like a place where computer questions can be asked and hopefully answered (especially since I have some computer friends that can help me if I get stuck on a problem). I will also share interesting, humorous and hopefully helpful stories about my experiences. I hope that you will enjoy reading. Solo Deo Gloria.
