Mac OS X Hint (Sorry “Windows” Fans)

Those of us using Apple Computers probably already know about the utility known as: Expose. It helps you keep your desktop organized. Apple also has two other utilities that I really like. One is: Spaces, a utility which gives you from 2-16 virtual desktops. I love it and use it even more that Expose. The other is Quick Look which is really helpful if you want a preview of something that you are working with (like a picture or a document). Just highlight it (click it once), and press the spacebar to see a close up look at it.

All of these utilities are wonderful by themselves, but what a lot of people don’t realize is that they all work together perfectly. If you activate Spaces, but can’t see what windows are in a particular space, activate Expose. If those windows are a little small to see, hover your pointer over a window and press the spacebar. You will get a full sized view of that window. You can also see what windows in one particular application you have open. While in Expose press the Command-Tab keys to activate the app switcher. Continue pressing Command-Tab to go left to right through your open apps (or Shift-Command-Tab to go right to left) until you highlight the right application. Let go of the Command-Tab keys to see only the open (and minimized) windows in the app that you chose.

Just another way that Apple tries to make our life and work easier.
